Hi, I’m Lori Smith,
I have spent more than 20 years working in complex, matrix organizations including Cendant Corporation and Wyndham Worldwide Corporation.
While I got my start in Finance and moved to Operations, I eventually carved out a unique, initiative-management role that leveraged my business acumen as well as my six-sigma credentials.
My role throughout my career has been working within departments that have numerous stakeholders and functions in support of multiple business units. The result – a firm understanding of the complexity that comes from having conflicting goals, individuals competing for power and a long list of initiatives that may or may not be in alignment with the overarching goals of the company.
I started Lori Smith Consulting because I know for a fact that what Cendant and Wyndham experienced is shared by ALL complex organizations.
It is my passion and honor to help executives who have more growth ideas, than time and money, to streamline and focus on what matters most, allowing them to achieve success quickly and efficiently.
At my core, I am a natural mediator.
I value the importance of balancing the competing demands that work and life can bring.
I meditate and find balance between what the customer wants, what employees need and the financial results Wall Street demands.
I mediate and find balance between different business functions – the heart-centric focus of HR and the results orientation of operations and finance.
And I do this because it’s my best-at strengths AND because one thing I know for sure – what makes an organization great isn’t just its people. It’s how well their people work together!
